Last year, an unnamed 42-year old worker, who was employed at an industrial site, was injured during an accident at the worksite. As a result of the accident, not only was the worker subject to neck and back injuries, he also witnessed the deaths of many of his co-workers. As a result, he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder from survivor's guilt, including constant nightmares, tearfulness, and anxiousness. His PTSD has lasted more than two years and made him unable to return to work. He continues to treat for anxiety and depression.
Settlement was reached in mediation in the amount of $2.15 million.
